Step-by-step help for scanning, pricing, listings and Pro, and answers to the questions people ask most. For anything else, write to My Stuff support.
How to
Get a better identification
- Photograph one item per scan. Start with the whole item, then add details, up to 8 photos.
- Add a photo of the label, model plate or serial number: the brand and model printed on the item sharpen the identification.
- Show the condition honestly, including wear, damage and the accessories that come with it.
- Add a note for what the photos don’t show, such as the year you bought it or whether the box is included.
My Stuff analyzes the item in the background, usually in 10 to 60 seconds, and the item appears in your inventory at once. If the identification is off, open the item, choose Edit, correct the details, then re-price.
Change how prices are researched
- On the Stuff tab, open Pricing settings from the inventory toolbar (the slider icon, top left).
- Under Price lookup, choose AI only, AI with web search or AI with marketplace search.
- Set your region, the marketplaces where you sell, your currency and the listing language in the same place.
The setting is the default for new scans. Search-backed lookups take longer and cite the listings they found, and you can pick another mode for any single item when you re-price it.
Re-price an item
- Open the item and choose Re-price.
- Under Re-price with, pick the lookup mode for this item.
- The new estimate replaces the old one when the analysis finishes.
Re-pricing counts as one item scan. After you edit an item’s details, its estimate is marked out of date until you re-price it.
Write and share a listing
- Open the item and, under Listings, choose Compose listing.
- Pick the marketplace and a tone (neutral, friendly or brief), then generate the draft and adjust anything you like.
- Copy each field, choose Copy all, or Share text & photos to send the text and your photos together.
- Open the marketplace, post the listing yourself, then choose Mark as listed and add the listing link if you like.
Listing drafts are free and never count as scans. My Stuff never posts to a marketplace for you. When the item sells, record the price, date and where it sold.
Restore Pro on a new iPhone
- Sign in with the same account you used before.
- Open Profile, then Settings, and choose Restore Purchases.
Pro belongs to the Apple ID that bought it, so use the same Apple ID on the new iPhone.
Cancel Pro
- Open Settings on your iPhone and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions, choose My Stuff, then Cancel Subscription.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Pro stays active until the end of the paid period, and your inventory stays in My Stuff on the free plan. Apple handles refunds: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Export your data
- Open Profile, then Settings, and choose Export My Data.
The file contains your items, estimates and pricing settings.
Delete your account
- Open Profile, then Settings, and choose Delete Account and All Data.
- Confirm the deletion.
Deletion is immediate and can’t be undone: My Stuff deletes your account with your items, photos, estimates and listing drafts. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel Pro, which Apple bills, so cancel it in your iPhone’s settings too. To delete a single item, open it and choose Delete.
Common questions
- Is an estimate an appraisal?
- No. My Stuff estimates are automated guidance based on public listings and AI analysis, not professional appraisals, and an item can sell for more or less. The confidence grade reflects how many comparables My Stuff found and how closely their prices agree, and the comparables are there for you to check.
- What are the lookup modes?
- My Stuff researches prices three ways. AI only answers from the model's own judgment and is the fastest. AI with web search looks for comparable listings across the web. AI with marketplace search looks at the marketplaces you sell on first, starting with Tori.fi in Finland. Choose a default in the pricing settings, and pick another mode for any item when you re-price it.
- What if My Stuff identifies the wrong item?
- Open the item and edit what My Stuff saw: the name, brand, model, category, condition and details such as color or size. My Stuff then marks the old estimate as out of date, and re-pricing updates it with your corrections.
- Does My Stuff post listings for me?
- No. My Stuff drafts the title, description, price and condition in the marketplace's own vocabulary and within its limits, then you copy each field, copy everything at once, or share the text together with your photos. Open the marketplace, post the listing yourself, and mark the item as listed, with a link if you like. My Stuff never posts to a marketplace on your behalf.
- What counts as a scan?
- One scan identifies one item and estimates its resale price, however many photos you add. Re-pricing an item counts as one scan. Writing a listing is free. If an analysis fails, the scan doesn't count.
- How do I cancel Pro?
- Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose My Stuff. Pro stays active until the end of your paid period, and your inventory stays in My Stuff on the free plan.
- What happens to my photos?
- My Stuff re-encodes every photo on your iPhone before upload, which removes the EXIF metadata, including GPS location. The AI that identifies the item sees your photos; price research sends only the item's description (name, brand, model and condition), never the photos. My Stuff doesn't track you across other apps and websites and shows no ads.
- How do I export or delete my data?
- In My Stuff, open Profile, then Settings. Export My Data downloads a file with your items, estimates and pricing settings. Delete Account and All Data deletes your account together with your items, photos, estimates and listing drafts. Delete a single item at any time from the item itself.
